Hi there! I’m Britt, otherwise known as Nerdy Girl Crochets and the "Spidey Queen" on Instagram.

My crochet journey began my senior year of high school when I crocheted baby blankets that were donated to a local hospital for bereavement boxes for mothers who had experienced fetal loss. After that, I took some time away from crocheting until my nephew was born in 2023. I surprised my sister by making him a baby blanket and that's all it took for me to become completely obsessed with crochet!

I fell in love with amigurumi in September 2023 (thanks YouTube!) and never looked back. It is thanks to YouTube that I learned this incredible art form, and that I am now an artist sharing on YouTube as well.

I consider myself to be a niche creator with a passion for creating dragons and bringing my favorite nerdy characters to life with yarn. Crocheting my favorite anime characters, Toothless, and turning anything into Spider-Man always bring the biggest smile to my face.

I have a passion for designing and painting safety eye collections inspired by my favorite things, especially anime! Nothing brings me more joy than bringing anime I love to life via safety eyes, then seeing other crocheters enjoy the safety eyes in their amigurumi creations.

I absolutely love making crochet accessories for other crocheters to enjoy and help with their process of creating amigurumi projects. Crochet has brought so much passion, happiness, and purpose into my life. I am so grateful for everyone who has supported me along the way and all the incredible people I have met since joining the crochet community. I wouldn't be where I am without all of you, so thank you! ✨
